Mr. Moskowitz brings over 25 years of experience in the law enforcement industry. After graduating from a Law Enforcement Program at the college level, Mr. Moskowitz entered the profession of Security and By-law Enforcement at Canada’s largest city. His expertise was gained through his progressively responsible roles including the supervision of By-law Enforcement Officers, and Special Constables.
Mr. Moskowitz brings innovation to his work. During his tenure as a Transit Special Constable, Mr. Moskowitz was the driving force behind the creation of a now well-established Community Engagement Unit. As their first Community Engagement Officer, Mr. Moskowitz cultivated relationships with city services, community groups and other outreach programs, bringing on a new approach to addressing anti-social behaviours within the transit system.
Prior to be promoted to the rank of Sergeant, Mr. Moskowitz was instrumental in bringing life-saving medication to frontline special constables to combat opioid-related overdoes on the transit system.
As the previous President of the Ontario Special Constable Association, Mr. Moskowitz contributed to procedural changes surrounding the Supporting Ontario First Responders Act, to include special constables diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Mr. Moskowitz continued his education, graduating , with honours as a certified adult education and development specialist. He is currently an Instructor for a Canadian College in the Law Enforcement and Addictions Counselling programs respectfully.
